HowTo: Resolve Conflicts Between Skype and XAMPP
For the past day or two, I’ve been racking my brain trying to figure out why I can’t get Apache to run on my localhost under XAMPP. It had been working fine up until this week. Then I remembered that I’d installed Skype, so I searched for “Skype XAMPP conflicts” and found this post.
It turns out that Skype uses port 80 (i.e. Apache’s default port) by default. Watch this screencast to find out how to change this in your settings.
