Using Eventbrite for events with seating sub-sections and multiple ticket types
Let’s say you want to setup an Eventbrite event with multiple seating sections and multiple ticket types in each section. For example:
- General Admission
- General Admission Group Discount
- Reserved Seating
- Reserved Seating Group Discount
In this example, you don’t want a combination of General Admission and General Admission Group Discount tickets sold to exceed 2000, and you don’t want the reserved seating section to exceed 150 tickets sold. Watch the screencast to see how you can handle this type of situation.
NOTE: After describing this to a technician at Eventbrite, he told me that he would officially submit this scenario as a feature request. So, once a feature is added that covers this, the Eventbrite system will handle this for you; however, until then, the technique outlined in this screencast will be the solution you need to employ given such a scenario.
